What We Do

Our approach
Voices Together has developed a unique approach and methodology using the group process of a choral structure and interactive songs to increase and develop speech, communication and social interaction skills in individuals with developmental disabilities.
Each group of nine individuals is lead by either two board-certified music therapists and/or one board certified music therapist and one music educator. The one-hour-a-week session weaves music, communication and social skills training together in a seamless and highly motivating program targeting not only the goal of the group as a whole but individual goals as well.
Because each individual has his or her own strengths and weaknesses, the chorus is kept at this 4-to-1 ratio to give the therapists the opportunity to address each individual’s challenges.
