Welcome to Voices Together Choruses

Voices Together is a non-profit organization that serves nearly 400 individuals with developmental disabilities in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina.  The organization is endorsed by The Autism Society of North Carolina, The Arc of North Carolina and the University of North Carolina Department of Music Education and Special Education.

People with developmental disabilities often have great difficulty with communication, speech and social interaction.

They often have great difficulty making friends, finding jobs and keeping them, and finding community.

These are all things that most people take for granted. And because of these challenges, this population is at high risk of isolation.  More programming is essential to help transition this population and to help them develop the social and communication skills they so desperately need in order to become independent.

Voices Together has developed an innovative approach that combines the proven therapeutic qualities of music, essential speech and communication and social integration training in the structure of a chorus for the purpose of bridging the gap between people with disabilities, their peers, families and communities.
