McKenna Lakin

McKenna has a Masters of Library Science and a love of organization, managing data and workflow, and serving the public. She acts as Program Manager for the Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program in partnership with the State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR). This program provides Workplace Readiness training in the areas of communication skills and social/emotional learning for enrolled students ages 14-21.

McKenna coordinates Pre-ETS services across five school districts, community groups, and multiple summer programs across the Piedmont. She works closely with the music therapy team to deliver services, communicate with teachers and VR staff, and analyze and report data for over 300 students.

In her free time, McKenna enjoys tap dance, going to the movies, reading and exploring nature (Edisto Island and Asheville are favorite spots). She also loves spending time with her husband and cat.
