McKenna Lakin

McKenna joined Voices Together in 2016. As a musician with her Masters of Library Science and Bachelor’s in English, she enjoys being able to combine her interest in music and background in managing data with serving families and students. McKenna is the Program Manager for the Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) program in partnership with the State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR). This program provides Workplace Readiness training for enrolled students ages 14-21. McKenna coordinates Pre-ETS services in five school districts, community groups, and summer programs across the Piedmont. She works closely with the music therapy team to deliver services, communicate with teachers and VR staff, and analyze and report data for over 350 students. In her free time, McKenna enjoys tap dancing, going to shows (music/film/comedy/theater – Durham has so much to offer), reading, and exploring nature.
