Yasmine White

Yasmine White has spent nearly three decades as a music therapist and has devoted most of her career to working with children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities such as autism. She is the founder and CEO of Voices Together which has grown exponentially as it has provided a specialized music therapy program to school districts and the community in Central North Carolina since 2007.  She has built the organization by leveraging partnerships in the community – a substantial research partnership with Duke University, raising millions of dollars in foundation grants from partners like the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, working closely with the Department of Public Instruction to develop statewide programming.
She is a board certified music therapist, has a degree from the University of Maryland and has taken advanced graduate studies in music therapy. The mid-Atlantic Music Therapy Association recognized her with its annual achievement award. In 2016, Yasmine was co-author of an academic article published in Autism Research and Treatment, a major international journal, in partnership with a Duke research team and three more academic articles that she coauthored with Duke University are pending publication. She has appeared on radio programs and has been profiled in newspaper articles. She has written articles and has presented at regional, national and international conferences.
