Our Programs

Since 2007, Voices Together’s leading-edge model VOICSS® helps with the development of language skills, the identification and expression of emotions and with social engagement.  Our goal is to enable our clients to become strong self-advocates, become independent adults and experience full community participation. Here are just a few of the ways we are working in communities around central NC.

VOICSS® in Education: School Programs

Our evidence-based program model VOICSS® has helped students with special needs and learning difficulties by addressing critical communication and social-emotional skills that enable them to become strong self-advocates, become independent adults and experience full community participation. Voices Together is recognized as an innovator in serving students with special needs. Learn More.

VOICSS® in the Community: Community Groups and Individual Therapy

Group music therapy sessions are offered in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill for children, teens and adults. Groups are created based on the ages, and goals of each client.  Individual sessions are held in the clients home and are used to help transition into a group or to work on individualized goals.  Learn More.

VOICSS® in Vocational Training

Voices Together is now a provider for P.E.T.S. – Pre Employment Transition Services through the Dept. of Health & Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation Division. VOICS® Therapists use counseling skills to validate participants ages 14 – 21 as they learn how to manage emotions, self-regulate their behavior, and ask for help. Participants focus on work readiness through language, social/emotional skills and self advocacy practice. Learn More.

VOICSS® in Early Intervention

Thanks to grants and generous donations Voices Together has been working on adapting it’s model for very young children.  Little Voices serves 3-8 year olds in the community, pre-schools and elementary schools.  We are very excited to be have 3 new programs opening in Chatham County, to be continuing our community group in Chapel Hill and to have more schools interested in the pre-school program for next year.
