Voices Together

Jennifer Trapani is senior vice president and chief risk officer for The Redwoods Group, a property and casualty insurance provider.

She and her husband Kevin co-founded The Redwoods Group, a company committed to being a strong engine for positive social change. Their business provides insurance to nonprofit, child-serving organizations and gives away hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to nonprofit organizations around the world through the Redwoods Group Foundation.

Trapani currently serves on the corporate board for the YMCA of the Triangle. She is the past board chair for Habitat for Humanity Durham County and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA. She serves on the board of directors of Latino Educational Achievement Partnership (LEAP) and as an advisory member for the Tomorrow Fund, an organization helping first-generation Latinos meet the financial challenges associated with attending college.

She has been a volunteer with Teach for America, a Sunday school teacher for her church and a supporter of WUNC and Camp Kesem.

Trapani and her husband have served as co-chairs of the Triangle Land Conservancy River Society and EnLIST, a group of key supporters of the Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University. They chaired the Annual Campaign for the YMCA of the Triangle for 2019-2020.
