Voices Together

Mary Lou Rollins began her career in Durham, N.C., as director of the Durham Technical Community College Foundation and executive assistant to the president. She worked alongside Dr. Phail Wynn Jr. for 18 years.

In 2008, Rollins followed Wynn to Duke University to become executive assistant to the vice president and director of special projects in the Duke Office of Durham and Community Affairs. She retired from Duke in the summer of 2018.

Rollins has been an advisor for Voices Together since 2009. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Campbell University and an master of arts degree from Duke University. She is a North Carolina native and has made Durham her home since 1990.

She is active in her beloved Watts Street Baptist Church and in the local nonprofit community. Her assistance in connecting Voices Together to key partnerships and brainstorming has been essential to the growth of our program.
