Voices Together is operating remotely and providing all services virtually during the pandemic.

Voices Together

Nicole Camareno is a board-certified and VOICSS®-trained music therapist at Voices Together. She joined the team in July 2019.

Prior to working at Voices Together, she served as a music therapist at Healing Hearts in Tallahassee, Fla., working primarily in school systems with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as with older adults.

Nicole uses the VOICSS® method to both support and empower individuals in developing and strengthening communication skills, self-awareness and self-advocacy. She loves working with her clients and seeing them progress in communicating with teachers and friends and seeing their amazing personalities emerge.

She is a member of the Bilingual Development Team, working with other music therapists to incorporate Spanish into music therapy sessions to better serve Spanish-speaking clients.

Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts in music and multidisciplinary studies from Southeastern University before completing the equivalency program in Music Therapy at Florida State University.

When she’s not practicing music therapy, she can be found making scones in her kitchen, drinking oat milk lattes and hiking, while enjoying the beautiful North Carolina weather.
